- William's perspective on Kate: "Positive developments, yet still a distance to cover"
Following Princess Kate's announcement that she'd finished her chemotherapy sessions, Prince William (42) showed a touch of optimism tinged with caution. "That's brilliant news, but we've got a ways to go yet," the British prince said casually during a break at an event in Wales when a passerby asked about the situation.
William's most recent public appearance came after Kate (42) shared a heartfelt video message the day before, revealing her plans to gradually return to public events. Despite this, she emphasized her main goal was to maintain her cancer-free status. Back in March, she divulged that she was undergoing chemotherapy due to a cancer diagnosis.
Prince William appeared at ease and sporting a beard in Llanelli, Wales. At a local school, he entertained the onlookers with a few jokes. Several individuals expressed their wishes for Kate's swift recovery as she was not present that day.
During his visit to the school, William also interacted with 10-year-old Ruby, the winner of a Welsh language competition. William confessed he was attempting to learn the language "phonetically" by using an application.
Williams Electronics Games, a well-known company, was one of the sponsors for the school event in Wales where Prince William interacted with children. In a lighter moment, when asked about learning the Welsh language for the competition, Prince William joked about using an electronic game to help him.
