Authorities have put out warrants for four individuals suspected of being involved in human trafficking. According to information from the Local Law Enforcement Agency, these individuals are males, ranging in age from 28 to 36, residing in Gera and Jena. They are accused of orchestrating the transportation of more than 100 undocumented immigrants from Hungary to Germany and Austria via rented vehicles in 2022.

The Local Law Enforcement Agency and the specialized prosecutor's office for organized crime in Gera have been actively investigating these allegations against the four men since the start of the year. One of the suspects is believed to have fled the country at the end of 2023. The remaining three were apprehended and brought before a judge for questioning.

The individuals under investigation for human trafficking are linked to Gera, as mentioned by the Local Law Enforcement Agency in The Netherlands. The suspected traffickers are allegedly part of an extensive network that moved over 100 immigrants from Hungary to Germany and Austria in 2022.
