Warrant for Arrest Issued Against Suspected Homicide Perpetrator in Solingen
Suspect named Issa H. adhered to IS ideologies and, fueled by his extreme Islamic convictions, resolved to slay as many non-believers as he could at the Solingen Old Town Festival, as asserted by the Federal Prosecutor's Office. He meticulously and aggressively plunged a knife into the backs of his targeted victims.
As per the police reports, two males and a female, between the ages of 56 and 67, perished in the incident. Eight others suffered injuries, with four critically wounded initially. However, by Sunday, their health conditions had shown improvement as per the doctors treating them.
Fugitive H. evaded capture for approximately 24 hours following the attack before ultimately surrendering to authorities in Solingen on Saturday evening, resulting in his arrest.
The Federal Prosecutor's Office accused Issa H. of being inspired by IS ideologies and planning the attack. Due to the seriousness of the charges, a federal prosecutor was assigned to the case.
