Vote Count in Saxony: CDU Remains Near the Top, Trailbed by AfD
As per estimates, the temporary numbers have the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) positioned in the third spot with 11.6% to 12%. The Greens just managed to surpass the 5% threshold with 5.2% to 5.4%. The Left came up short with 4.0% to 4.5%. The FDP received such a limited number of votes that both broadcasters clubbed them with "Other" in their forecasts.
In the potential parliament, the CDU is predicted to garner 43 seats, while the Alternative for Germany (AfD) is projected to earn 42 to 43 seats. The BSW is forecasted to claim 16 seats, the SPD 11 to 12. The Greens are anticipated to secure 7 seats.
The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance might consider collaborating with The Green Group in the future parliament, given their similar ideologies and close proximity in seat count. In the latest polls, The Green Group has surpassed the Left, positioning themselves as the fourth strongest party, just behind the BSW.
