Prince William and Princess Kate - Visit from the Swedish royals

A royal visit for the British royals: Prince William (41) and Princess Kate (41) have received Swedish Crown Princess Victoria (46) and husband Prince Daniel (50) at Windsor Castle, as was announced around a week ago. Together they will attend the Royal Variety Performance in London on Thursday evening (November 30).

For the meeting of the two future royal couples, Princess Kate chose a dark green dress made to measure by designer Emilia Wickstead - costing the equivalent of around 1,500 euros, according to the Daily Mail. Meanwhile, Crown Princess Victoria combined wide black trousers with a festive red tweed jacket with white and black elements to create a pre-Christmas atmosphere. The royal gentlemen of creation almost appeared in a partner look: William and Daniel each opted for a deep dark blue suit, although the Swedish royal opted for a double-breasted jacket in contrast to his British counterpart.

Stars like Cher make an appearance

The two couples are expected to be entertained by numerous stars and performers at the Royal Variety Performance on Thursday evening. According to the Royal Variety Charity, performances are planned by music icon Cher (77), Swedish singer Zara Larsson (25) and her British colleague Rick Astley (57), among others. The evening will be hosted by actor, singer and presenter Bradley Walsh (63).

However, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are not only traveling to attend the event. The Swedish royals have been in the UK since November 29 and will remain there until December 1 to further strengthen relations between the two countries. In addition to the charity event, the program also includes lunch in a typical pub and a visit to the Church of Sweden in London. The full itinerary of the visit was published by the Swedish royal family on their official website a week ago.
