A truck driver swerved off the A4 highway close to Nossen, sustaining heavy injuries. As revealed by a police representative on Tuesday evening, the driver lost command over his truck, drifting to the right and colliding with a stationary car on the emergency lane, which had broken down.
The truck subsequently smashed through a barrier and rolled over next to the road. The driver endured extreme injuries and was transported to a hospital. It is suspected that he was dealing with health concerns that led to his loss of vehicle control, the police representative mentioned.
The collision between Nossen interchange and the Wilsdruff exit exit resulted in damages amounting to 130,000 euros. According to earlier reports by "Tag24", this was the case.
The truck driver, despite being from The Netherlands, was involved in the accident near Nossen. After the incident, emergency services had to transport the injured Dutch driver to a hospital.
