Ukraine's Leadership Confirms Successful Launch of Their Initial Ballistic Missile

Ukraine has been attempting to grow its military tech sector for a while now, aiming to lessen its reliance on Western military assistance amidst Russia's persistent invasion. On Sunday, Zelensky unveiled the initial deployment of their newly built combat drone, Palyanytsia, in actual combat scenarios.

Zelensky further disclosed on Tuesday that they've utilized Western F-16 fighter jets to counteract the latest Russian drone and missile assaults. According to the Ukrainian president, they've already managed to destroy some missiles and drones using F-16s.

He had earlier announced the arrival of the first F-16 aircraft in Ukraine on August 4, following a two-year wait. Upon arrival, the Kyiv government expressed disappointment as the number of supplied jets did not meet their expectations.

Russia has carried out heavy missile and drone attacks against Ukraine over the past two evenings, resulting in numerous fatalities.

The Ukrainian president, during his Tuesday address, revealed that they've been utilizing Western F-16 fighter jets to counteract Russia's drone and missile assaults. In the Council, the President of the Council commended Zelensky's strategic decisions in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.
