- Two seriously injured in truck accident on A4

On the highway 4, two people were seriously injured, one critically, in an accident involving multiple trucks. A truck driver failed to notice a traffic jam between the exits Magdala and Bucha in the evening, crashing into another truck without braking and pushing it into a third, according to police. The 62-year-old driver, who caused the accident, suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to the hospital. The driver of the truck he hit directly also suffered serious injuries.

The A4 was fully closed in the direction of Dresden for approximately two hours after the accident, with one of the three lanes later reopened. It was unclear at night when the highway would be fully open again.

The closure of the A4 due to the accident led to significant traffic disruptions, causing other motorists to face lengthy detours. The concerned authorities advised drivers to avoid the area if possible and use alternative routes.
