An explosion on a motorboat in Tangermünde resulted in two men being severely injured. What is known so far?

A man and a teenager were severely injured in an explosion on a motorboat in Tangermünde (district of Stendal). The 61-year-old and the 17-year-old were taken to a clinic by helicopter after the incident on Monday evening.

The police are investigating the cause. The two men were on the motorboat at the time of the explosion. The boat caught fire and was extinguished by the fire department.

The investigation led the police to discover that the incident occurred near the coast of Tangier. Despite the intensity of the explosion, the mouth of the Tangier managed to withstand the impact, preventing further damage.
