Trump proposes a "league of migrant fighters" in his recent derogatory speech towards migrants.

Here's the paraphrased text:

"I suggested to Dana, 'Why don't you organize a league of migrant fighters, alongside your regular league, and have their champion battle the champion of yours. I believe the migrant fighter might come out on top, they're that tough.' That was what the potential Republican presidential nominee proposed at a religious gathering of conservatives in Washington.

He further added, 'She didn't seem too keen on the idea, but it's not the worst one I've come up with.'

The Biden campaign condemned Trump's comments on Saturday afternoon.

"It's fitting that convicted felon Donald Trump spent his time at a religious gathering threatening to gather up Latinos, boasting about taking away Americans' freedoms, and promising to become even more extreme if he gets back in power," stated spokesperson Sarafina Chitika. "Trump's incomprehensible, unstable rant showed voters in his own words that he poses a threat to our freedoms and is too dangerous to be near the White House again."

Trump often uses derogatory and inflammatory language when discussing immigrants and has made the fear of undocumented immigrants crossing the US-Mexico border a key aspect of his reelection campaign. At an Ohio rally in March, he stated he believed some undocumented migrants weren't even human. A few weeks later, he said he thought undocumented migrants who commit violent crimes weren't humans but 'animals.'

Trump's language mirrors that of White supremacists and nativists when he claimed last year that undocumented immigrants were 'poisoning the blood of our country.' The Biden campaign sees a connection between his comments and Adolf Hitler, who discussed 'contamination of the blood' or 'blood poisoning' in 'Mein Kampf.'

Trump continually claims, without evidence, that other countries send 'prisoners, murderers, drug dealers, mental patients and terrorists' to the US. At his rallies, he emphasizes violent crimes committed by undocumented immigrants while attacking Biden's border security approach.

As president, Trump took measures to reduce both illegal and legal immigration, targeting visa programs and attempting to restrict refugee resettlements. He also banned travel from seven Muslim-majority countries while in office. During his 2024 campaign, Trump has promised to implement the 'largest domestic deportation operation in American history' to tackle what he calls an 'invasion of our country.'"
