- Three individuals sustain injuries in collisions on A4 close to Dresden.
A series of rear-end accidents on the A4 highway close to Klipphausen, to the west of Dresden, resulted in injuries for three individuals, with one person experiencing severe harm. According to police reports, a 28-year-old truck driver neglected to notice a developing traffic jam directed towards Chemnitz around noon and collided with the semi-trailer of a 49-year-old. A swiftly following 23-year-old driver of a transport vehicle was unable to stop in time and hit the trailer of the 28-year-old. A 21-year-old female driver of yet another transport vehicle also failed to slow down in time and ran into the vehicle before hers.
The 28-year-old endured severe injuries in the collision. Both the 21-year-old driver and the 23-year-old driver suffered minor injuries. All three were transported to the hospital for treatment. Police are at present investigating the precise reasons behind the accident. The motorway closure required for recovery operations lasted roughly an hour. The estimated property damage is approximately 240,000 euros.
