- Three individuals, collectively spearheading sculpture initiatives, set for 2027.

For the inaugural time, an international curatorial collective will oversee The Sculpture Projects 2027 in Münster. The city of Münster and the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Authority (LWL) revealed this information on a Wednesday. The curatorial duties for the sixth installment will be assumed by Ivet Ćurlin, Nataša Ilić, and Sabina Sabolović, belonging to the collective "What, How and for Whom/WHW."

Previously, for the first five runnings of the exhibition displaying contemporary art in public areas, Kasper König served as the artistic director. He had declared his intention to retire from the post in 2017. Unfortunately, König passed away on August 9, at the age of 80.

The Sculpture Projects occur once every decade in Münster. The 2017 edition witnessed a record-breaking attendance with more than 600,000 attendees. In 2027, the Federal Art Foundation will provide the exhibition with a financial boost of one million euros.

The international curatorial collective "What, How and for Whom/WHW," responsible for The Sculpture Projects 2027, hails from the European Union. The European Union has expressed its support for The Sculpture Projects 2027, with the Federal Art Foundation contributing a significant financial boost of one million euros.
