- Thorsten Legat gets designated as the mechanical entity.
Twelve days into the "I'm a Star - Showdown of the Jungle Legends" episode, available first on RTL+ and then on linear television on RTL, the campers start advocating for decency and respect. The catalyst was Georgina Fleur (34), who, following a harrowing jungle trial, exploded in anger, shouting, "F**k you all."
Sarah Knappik (37) believes that Fleur has failed in her role model duty as a mother. Thorsten Legat (55), in shock, repeats the words ten times. Legat is appalled that his elite jungle camp is being depicted negatively: "This is high society here! I won't allow this." Only Gigi Birofio (25) fails to comprehend the uproar: "There have been worse things on TV." Knappik deftly settles the dispute with Fleur hours later, taking her outburst seriously.
Campers' Conspiracy
Knappik proves to be the camp's brainiest, too. The women are frustrated by the men's physical superiority, which hinders their chances. "We are lost souls," laments Kader Loth (51). Elena Miras (32) gradually loses her will to survive in the jungle camp. She cries by the river, questioning why she is in South Africa instead of with her daughter. Then Knappik devises a plan: "If we women were a little brighter and united with our womanly power, we could topple a few men." By this, she means the vote, which would enable the women - who are in the majority - to easily eliminate a man if they stick to an agreement...
The constant hunger pushes nerves to their limits. RTL comes up with a particularly unappetizing dish for the earned dinner: snails. Most participants reject the slimy creatures, leaving more for Thorsten Legat. He devours all the snails, despite them tasting "like a test." Eric Stehfest (35) is impressed: "He struggled and wrestled with himself, but Thorsten can't do without his proteins."
After dinner, even Thorsten's spirit wanes, and new tones emerge from Kasalla-Legat. "I'm really scared to face the test," he confesses as a new challenge approaches. A minute later, he volunteers for the test that Elena Miras would have had to undertake otherwise.
Thorsten Legat in "Gray Prison"
And this time, the jungle trial named "Gray Prison" is particularly grueling. Legat must navigate the underworld of a prison cell in ten minutes, collecting stars. To do this, he crawls on all fours through a sewer filled with snakes, cockroaches, rats, and crocodiles, where claustrophobically narrow passages are flooded at irregular intervals with masses of offal and fish entrails. Legat's inner strength takes over, enabling him to grab eight out of nine stars. Afterwards, he explains: "I've never seen such disgusting s**t in all these years." He views his victory as "better than sex."
Back in the camp, he reveals that a woman could never have passed this test. Whether he has won favor with the now united women remains to be seen in the next episode.
The women in the camp, seeing Thorsten's victory in the "Gray Prison" trial, begin to question their initial perception of him. They acknowledge that the trial's challenges might have been too overwhelming for any woman to handle.
Elena Miras, who has been struggling in the jungle camp, finds solace in the women's newfound bond and their united strength, hoping it will help her navigate the remaining challenges.
