Thomas D. is giving a wake-up call.
Thomas D lands in the emergency room after an insect bite. A promised update on his condition is missing, fans are worried. Now the Fantastic Four rapper speaks with good and bad news.
Fans of Fantastic Four were greatly concerned when Thomas D announced himself from the emergency room of a hospital on Tuesday after an insect bite. In a short Instagram video, the rapper explained that he probably had sepsis and would know more in an hour. However, there was initially no further news on his account. Yesterday evening, a visibly weakened Thomas D then gave the all-clear - more or less. Although he had to stay in the hospital and had "the worst night" behind him, everything was apparently okay.
"As you can see, I can already hold my phone with my arm again," the musician joked in a video from his hospital bed. The fever had also subsided. In "three, four days" he would be back on his feet. However, he had to cancel his planned performance with the Hamburg jazz band The KBCS on August 15 in Jena.
The rapper thanked his fans for their get-well wishes and apologized for not getting back to them earlier. He understood that the fans had been genuinely worried about him. Many had also already called him and asked how he was doing. Now, however, he wanted to be left alone and sleep, said Thomas D, exhausted but with a wink.
"Probably Sepsis"
On Tuesday morning, the musician showed his fans on Instagram a huge bump on his left arm in a short video. At that time, he seemed to be in good spirits and commented on his post with the words "Something stung me below my elbow yesterday. The insect should please get in touch, otherwise I'm really angry." A few hours later, another video of the rapper followed, this time from the emergency room of a hospital, in which he informed his fans that he had been waiting for three hours for a doctor's examination. After his wait was apparently over, another video followed. In the clip, the musician was seen with a black splint on the affected arm and gave the following update: "Fuck me ... In an hour I'll know what I have. But probably sepsis and an animal that stung the bursa, so we have to immobilize the arm now. Wow ..."
Despite the worrying situation, Thomas D assured his fans that he was receiving excellent care in the hospital. The entertainment industry rallied behind him, sending well-wishes and supporting his recovery.
Fans and colleagues in the entertainment world were relieved upon hearing the news that Thomas D's condition was stabilizing. They looked forward to seeing him back on stage, continuing to entertain and inspire with his music.
