- The insolvent solar company Bosswerk is still in business

Solar equipment retailer Bosswerk has filed for insolvency. However, the company's operations will continue in full, the company announced in Nettetal. This was decided by the provisional insolvency administrator appointed by the Krefeld Local Court. The company is to be restructured, and the 100 employees will continue to be employed.

Through its webshop, Bosswerk sells solar equipment for balconies, inverters, energy storage systems, and other technology. The company attributed its financial difficulties to the rapid decline in solar technology prices. Bosswerk primarily sells products from other manufacturers. In 2021, the company achieved sales of 37.2 million euros and an operating result (EBIT) of 4.3 million euros, with no more recent figures published.

In the webshop, customers receive the usual manufacturer's warranties and other claims. However, those who ordered before July 24 - the date of the insolvency application at the Krefeld Local Court - and have not yet received their goods will be creditors of the insolvent company. This is what insolvency law provides. Those who ordered after July 24 or do so in the future will have full claim to their goods.

The provisional insolvency administrator overseeing Bosswerk's restructuring was appointed by the Krefeld Local Court. Despite filing for insolvency, Bosswerk's operations, including their outlet in Crefeld, will continue in full.
