The latest installment of "Bridgerton" season 3 continues with the second half. With season 4 still in the works, viewers should appreciate these new episodes since it might take some time for Netflix to reveal the next season. The series' showrunner, Jess Brownell, shared some insights on the fourth season during the premiere of part 2 on June 12.

"I'm really excited about what we've been writing," she stated about season 4. Currently, they're almost done with the scripts. "I feel like it's my best work and the best work of my writing team. We've truly enhanced our cooperation; we put everything into it, and I can't wait for the fans to witness what we've prepared," Jess Brownell told "The Hollywood Reporter."

"We have a sort of two-year schedule"

When asked about the release timeline for the fourth season, Jess Brownell explained: "We're striving to release the seasons quicker, but filming consumes eight months, and then all the clips need to be translated and synchronized into multiple languages." The writing process also takes a significant amount of time, making the showrunner say, "so we have a kind of two-year schedule, we're attempting to expedite, but somewhere in that region." This info suggests that the fourth season's release might not occur until 2026.

While it remains undisclosed which Bridgerton sibling will take center stage in season 4, season 3 focuses on the love story between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton, 31) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan, 37). These events are depicted in Julia Quinn's book series, which Bridgerton is based on, and occur in part 4. Therefore, season 4 might center around Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson, 35). However, his sisters Eloise (Claudia Jessie, 34) or Francesca (Hannah Dodd, 29) could also grab the spotlight in the upcoming episodes.
