Data from Brazil's National Institute for Space Research (INPE) reveals that São Paulo has experienced its most challenging August since records began in 1998, with 3480 distinct fire locations. The number of wildfires surpasses that of the previous year by more than double. Numerous wildfires persistently rage in the Brazilian Amazon region.
