The FDP state parliamentary faction is particularly advocating for universities, education, and future schools in the current budget negotiations, according to their own statements. "The Free Democrats were the driving force of the coalition in these areas," said faction leader Philipp Fernis in an interview with the German Press Agency in Mainz. "For example, the digital competence center of the pedagogical state institute and digital education, that comes from our state election program."

The settlement policy is another focus of the liberals, for which Economics Minister Daniela Schmitt is advocating. This is in addition to the goal of reducing bureaucracy. "There will still be many things that, as far as we can influence them, will move."

The Free Democrats also regularly achieve something for farmers and winemakers on a national and European level. "For example, we were able to prevent the European plant protection directive. That would have been the end of steep slope viticulture in Rhineland-Palatinate."

During the budgetary negotiations, the FDP state parliamentary faction is actively pushing for their advocacy on universities, education, and future schools, as mentioned by faction leader Philipp Fernis. Furthermore, the necessity of budgetary negotiations also extends to addressing the settlement policy, with Economics Minister Daniela Schmitt advocating for improvements in this area.
