The 777X aircraft manufactured by Boeing requires temporary halting of operations.

It seems that a persistent problem with a component linking the engine and wing is causing issues for Boeing, a prominent aircraft manufacturer based in the United States. As a consequence, the company has halted test flights for the 777X model, which has already experienced considerable delays. This setback stemmed from the discovery of an anomaly in the component's functioning during a routine inspection, according to Boeing's statement.

An industry source, The Air Current, previously reported that damage to the engine-wing connection had occurred on one of the 777-9 test planes. Following this incident, the aircraft, which had recently completed a five-hour-long flight from Hawaii, was found to harbor cracks in the problematic component. Moreover, similar issues were detected on other 777-9 test planes, as per trustworthy sources.

Boeing chose not to disclose these specifics but clarified that no imminent flights were planned for the unaffected test aircraft. It's worth noting that this defective component is solely utilized in the 777-9 models, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified about this matter.

Back in 2013, Boeing introduced the 777X as the successor to its immensely successful 777 line. The company initially planned to launch the 777-9 variant in 2020, but this has since been rescheduled to 2025. The 777-9 serves as a larger counterpart to the basic 777 aircraft. Concurrently, Boeing is also awaiting approval for some new configurations of its popular mid-size jet, the 737 Max.

Given the recent issues with the problematic component on several 777-9 test planes, Boeing is looking into addressing these other instances to ensure the component's reliability. The company is working tirelessly to rectify the anomalies in these components to ensure the safety and efficiency of the 777X models.
