- Tenement house blaze in Ravensburg results in elderly resident's tragic demise at 82 years old.
An elderly woman, aged 82, tragically perished in a blaze at a row house in Ravensburg. Upon reaching the scene, emergency responders discovered that it was too late to rescue her, as reported by the authorities.
The origin of the fire, which ignited towards the evening and generated substantial smoke, is yet to be identified. The preliminary damage assessment indicates a loss of around 300,000 euros worth of property. The row house, with three residential units, was entirely consumed by the flames. The adjacent properties remained unscathed and are still inhabitable.
As per a police spokesperson, around 35 firefighters and chaplains were present at the scene. They offered assistance to the local residents. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the fire's cause.
Despite the fire affecting several nearby homes, thankfully, all other women living in the area were safely evacuated. The row house, unfortunately, was inhabited solely by the elderly woman who lost her life.
