- Sustainability accolade granted to Skopau-based cement producer

Ecoment in Schkopau, Saalekreis, garnered recognition for their alleged zero-emission cement manufacturing technique, earning them the Sustainability Award. This recognition comes from the Environment Ministry based in Magdeburg, who praised the company, established in 2019, for their innovative and patented method. As per the announcement, Ecoment, with a team of six individuals, will receive a promotional film worth 3000 euros along with other perks.

Originating in 2013, the Sustainability Award, as the ministry explains, has been dormant for a while. It has been revamped with a new focus on sustainability and technology that minimizes environmental impact and resource consumption. The next application cycle commences in October.

Ecoment's groundbreaking cement manufacturing technique, recognized with the Sustainability Award, has notably influenced its sustainability price, making it a competitive choice in the industry. With the award and its associated promotional benefits, Ecoment aims to further reduce its environmental footprint and lower the sustainability price of its cement production.
