Suspected drug dealers in Wetzlar taken off the streets

Police in Wetzlar have caught two suspected drug dealers on an e-scooter. The driver of the e-scooter was also drunk, the police announced on Tuesday. A local resident had alerted the police on Saturday night because of gunshot-like noises. When the two men were checked, the officers found no more firecrackers, but cartridges for a blank-firing weapon, drugs and paraphernalia for selling narcotics. During a subsequent search of the apartment, the investigators discovered a small quantity of drugs. Several criminal proceedings were initiated against the men.

The suspected drug dealers were found in possession of illicit substances, apart from the blank-firing weapon cartridges. The e-scooter they were using was also used by a drunk driver, indicating potential misuse of alcohol and drugs.
