- Suspect has not yet spoken about homeless man's death.
Fifteen days after the arrest of a murder suspect in Schweinfurt, the man has yet to comment on the allegations. "Investigations into the background of the crime and the exact time of death are ongoing," the Schweinfurt Public Prosecutor's Office said. "Based on the current findings, external violence caused the death of the victim."
So far, it is known that the alleged perpetrator, a 40-year-old, knew the victim. Tradesmen discovered the body of the 45-year-old homeless man in a building in the city center on July 23. More than a week later, the German suspect was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of murder.
The suspect, currently in custody, has not denied the allegations of murder against him. The motive for the homicide remains under investigation, given the suspect's prior relationship with the victim.
