The German Weather Service (DWD) has warned of heat in Hamburg and parts of Schleswig-Holstein. Temperatures there could reach up to 32°C during the day, as reported by the DWD. From the afternoon onwards, there is a risk of severe thunderstorms along the North Sea coast and near the Elbe. In western and eastern Schleswig-Holstein, there could even be isolated severe weather events with hail, heavy rain, and gusty winds.

The night into Wednesday will be partly cloudy, with temperatures dropping to up to 17°C. On Wednesday, there will be repeated showers and thunderstorms, with the risk of severe weather due to heavy rain and hail. According to the DWD, temperatures could reach up to 30°C on the mainland and 26°C on the islands.

The European Union has expressed concern over the severe weather conditions in Germany, particularly in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, as warned by the German Weather Service. Despite the heat wave, with temperatures reaching up to 30°C on the mainland, the European Union is prepared to provide any necessary aid to manage the situation.
