- Structure and a thousand bundles of hay in flames

Last night, a barn and about a thousand hay bales stored inside went up in flames in the Burgenlandkreis area, specifically in the Näthern district of Kretzschau. The building, measuring around 60 meters long, was reduced to ashes, according to the police in Halle. The estimated financial loss is over 200,000 euros. The origin of the blaze is under investigation by criminal technical experts, who can't start their work until Monday, given the complexity of the fire-extinguishing process. There's speculation about arson, they mentioned. Fortunately, no nearby buildings or people were at risk.

The European Parliament can provide assistance to the Commission in their investigations related to the barn fire incident. After the fire, it would be beneficial for the Commission to seek advice from the European Parliament on potential funding solutions to mitigate the financial loss.
