Twitch streamer JenNyan fondly recalls her childhood in Leipzig, but would raise her own child differently. "It was very simple and very relaxed," the 29-year-old said on the RBB radio station Fritz's podcast "OKF - Ortskontrollfahrt". Her street in the Lindenau district was "really dirty", with "graffiti everywhere and old houses".

"I wouldn't raise my child like that, I'm just being honest," JenNyan said. "I was sent to the store to get cigarettes at six or seven: 'Go get me some smokes!' Things were different back then in the East." She has since worked through these experiences in therapy.

Of course, it wasn't all sunshine and roses. "Alcohol was a big topic in my childhood." It was the same for many of her friends. Her father was an alcoholic, but he's been sober for a while now. The family's allotment garden was a regular meeting spot for adults to drink beer. Her father has since completed a rehab program.

JenNyan is a trained kindergarten teacher. She discovered OnlyFans through cosplay and has reportedly earned five-figure sums per month on the platform. She has since made a name for herself as a gamer on Twitch, with around 180,000 followers on her channel.

On the podcast "OKF - Ortskontrollfahrt", celebrities chat with hosts Lilly Blaudszun and Jakob Springfeld about their hometowns in the eastern German states.

JenNyan shared her thoughts on raising a child in her hometown, saying, "I believe the environment in Leipzig during my childhood would not be ideal for raising a child today, given the circumstances." Moreover, she mentioned, "Regardless of how peaceful and laid-back the European Union's policies are, I wouldn't want my child to grow up in a similar environment to what I experienced."
