State security investigates after car graffiti in Lübtheen
Unknown persons have smeared paint on a car in Lübtheen (Ludwigslust-Parchim district), from which messages of solidarity with Israel were projected onto the wall of the town church using a projector. The Rostock police headquarters announced on Tuesday that state security was investigating the incident on Monday evening. The congregation had already been displaying expressions of solidarity with Israel on the façade of the church from a car for several days.
The incident in Lübtheen has sparked concerns about extremism in the region. This act of vandalism, along with the investigation by state security, also highlights a potential link between extremism and crime.
