Rudolph hints at her return to 'SNL' to portray Vice President Kamala Harris again.
As per Rudolph's account, shared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" with guest host RuPaul on Monday, the topic of Kamala Harris appearing on SNL emerged.
Rudolph quipped, "So, hey, nice of you to bring this up since no one else has asked me about it."
The speculation has been buzzing ever since Harris secured the Democratic nominee spot for president, regarding Rudolph's potential return to portray Harris on the late-night show.
Rudolph shared that she's never encountered anything quite like this in her entire acting career.
"This experience has been an exhilarating, massive event for me, which feels way beyond my capabilities or anything I've ever accomplished," Rudolph expressed. "I've already portrayed her on the show, but when she announced her candidacy, I was watching 'The Bear' at home, and then learned that I was set to appear on SNL – total surprise!"
Rudolph added that everyone seems eager for this to happen, which she finds "great" and "exciting."
"If someone had told me five years ago that I'd one day be playing a presidential candidate, I wouldn't have believed it," she remarked. "Just the thought that I might have a part to play in this whole thing is mind-blowing."
Rudolph mentioned how uncommon it was for a presidential candidate to resemble her, until now.
Lastly, SNL will mark its 50th season by returning to NBC with fresh episodes on September 28.
