Ricarda Lang, the head of the Green Party, has entered into matrimony.

Green Party leader Ricarda Lang tied the knot with her partner Florian Wilsch in a private ceremony, away from the public eye and Sylt. As per news reports, they were surrounded by their loved ones and associates during their special day.

According to the "Bild" newspaper, the wedding festivities took place in Berlin, as confirmed by dpa news. Lang publicly revealed her engagement to Wilsch in March 2023.

As reported by "Bild", the Green Party leader and the mathematician and ex-spokesperson of the Green Youth of Bavaria celebrated their nuptials surrounded by their friends, family, and colleagues. The ceremony was held at a venue that can accommodate up to 150 guests near the Spree. Lang had shared with "Gala" in 2023 that they would avoid a public spectacle and would not get married on Sylt, like Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner and Franca Lehfeldt did.

Lang had mentioned in an interview with the "Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung" (NOZ) a few months prior that she wanted to start a family. "The thought of having my own children one day is a driving force for me. I want to contribute to a world where my children can grow up happily," she said.

The couple has been together for a long time and dealt with a long-distance relationship. In 2023, Lang told the magazine "Bunte" that she made frequent trips to Hanover to be with Wilsch. "Even if I don't get a seat, I'll sit on the floor in the aisle. The inconvenience of travel is worth it."

Lang emphasized the importance of personal happiness despite her political responsibilities. "That's the foundation," she said. When asked if a wedding was outdated in today's world, the 30-year-old replied, "I don't think so. A wedding is a symbol to me that we want to stay together and be loyal to each other. It's a step towards starting a family someday. I'm traditional and happy with that."

The couple's wedding celebration was filled with their friends, family, and colleagues, making it an enjoyable and meaningful event. The entertainment at the reception, which took place near the Spree, included live music and dancing, adding to the festive atmosphere.
