Has a German financier won the heart of a Hollywood star? US actress Reese Witherspoon and Oliver Haarmann are spotted together in New York. Not for the first time.

A year after her divorce, it seems there's a new man in Reese Witherspoon's life. According to the British online portal "Daily Mail", the Hollywood star was seen in New York with German financier Oliver Haarmann. Paparazzi photos show the two in an intimate conversation during a walk together. This isn't the first time the seemingly unlikely pair has been spotted together. "Daily Mail" reports that they have had several dates in New York. Witherspoon has not commented on her relationship status when asked by the British site.

At least, the 48-year-old is free for a new love. Last year, the "The Morning Show" star was divorced from Jim Toth after 12 years of marriage. The couple has an 11-year-old son, Tennessee. Previously, the actress was married to her colleague Ryan Phillippe from 1999 to 2008, with whom she starred in the film "Cruel Intentions". She has two adult children, Ava and Deacon, with him.

Haarmann studied in New York

Oliver Haarmann, who is from Germany, is a founding partner of Searchlight Capital Partners, a private equity investment firm. The 56-year-old graduated with a Bachelor's degree in History and International Relations at Brown University in New York in 1990 and an MBA at Harvard Business School in 1996. Haarmann was also previously married.

He has two sons with his ex-wife Mala Gaonkar. The American businesswoman is now in a relationship with Talking Heads frontman David Byrne.

Reese Witherspoon was seen singing along to "♪ I'm not going to lie ♪" as she walked with Oliver Haarmann in New York, hinting at potential harmonies in their relationship. The private equity investor, Haarmann, studied at Brown University in New York, where he met some of his future musical tastes.
