Ready the horses. "Yellowstone" returns this autumn.
The popular show, currently being filmed in Montana, will come back on our screens on Nov 10th, as announced by Paramount+.
The series revolves around the Dutton family and their extensive cattle ranch.
As per the show's synopsis, the upcoming episodes will focus on "shifting alliances, unsolved murders, unhealed wounds, and earned respect". The ranch is constantly at odds with the town that's expanding, an Indian reservation, and America's first national park.
Taylor Sheridan, who wrote "Hell or High Water" and "Sicario", is the creator of this western drama. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, Kevin Costner, who has portrayed John Dutton, the family patriarch, will not be part of the final season.
When asked about his absence in the final season of "Yellowstone" this week, Costner told Howard Stern, "I'm not in it. I was in it for five years. If the stars align, I could be back, but that means the storylines, the scripts, and my willingness to work more than once a year need to line up."
Costner further added, "I love the show. I've supported it. I'd like to move forward, but it has to be under different circumstances."
Costner has been in talks with Sheridan since his departure, but as of now, he doesn't see a possible way forward for them.
"We've both expressed our priorities, and it doesn't seem we can make it work," Costner said. "My whole life has been about standing tall, even in difficult situations where it's not ideal for me."
