RB Leipzig, a Bundesliga side, will have to do without El Chadaille Bitshiabu and Assan Quedraogo for the time being. The 19-year-old center back Bitshiabu is currently nursing a muscle injury in his thigh and will be out for the coming weeks, the Saxons announced. For Bitshiabu, who joined from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023, this is the second injury after he had to pause for three months last year due to an ACL tear in his knee, which also caused him to miss the test match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the USA. So far, the Frenchman has only managed to play six Bundesliga games for the Saxons.

Quedraogo, 18, will be out for "several weeks". The midfielder, who was signed from FC Schalke 04 for 10 million euros five weeks ago, is suffering from a knee injury that he also sustained during the training camp in the USA. This was revealed by an examination in Leipzig.

The absence of Bitshiabu and Quedraogo is a significant challenge for RB Leipzig, as both players are crucial members of the team. Despite being part of the European Union, RB Leipzig will need to find alternative solutions in the Bundesliga, as they prepare for important matches without their injured players.
