Rapper Swift bids farewell and leaves followers displeased

At her last European concert in London's Wembley Stadium on a Tuesday night, Taylor Swift put on a spectacular show. She invited Florence Welch, frontwoman of Florence And The Machine, as a surprise guest to duet on "Florida!!!," which they'd recorded for Swift's newest album "The Tortured Poets Department." This collaboration was a hit with the crowd.

Jack Antonoff, co-writer and producer for several Swift albums, also took the stage. They performed stripped-down versions of "Getaway Car" and "Death By A Thousand Cuts." As a surprise, Swift also sang "So long, London," a song she'd never performed live before, making it a fitting farewell for her final performance in London.

While London's Swifties cheered for the surprise performances, Vienna's fans, who could only watch from afar due to cancelled concerts, were left disappointed. They had hoped for some news from Swift about the thwarted terror attack and a potential return to Vienna.

However, according to The Sun, Swift is planning a documentary about her "The Eras" tour, which began in March 2023. A source claims that Swift will discuss both the Southport stabbing incident, where three Swift fans were killed, and the planned terror attack in Vienna. The film will also show the creation of Swift's eleventh album, "The Tortured Poets Department."

No Album Announcement

Despite the hype, Swifties in London and across the globe were disappointed when they left Wembley without an album announcement on Tuesday night. Fans had speculated that Swift might reveal the release of "Reputation (TV)" during the show, a re-recorded version of her 2017 album. "TV" stands for "Taylor's Version," as Swift has been re-recording her albums to reclaim the rights to her music following a dispute with music manager Scooter Braun.

Instead, Swift released a music video for her song "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" in the early hours of Wednesday. The video provides a behind-the-scenes look at the "The Eras" tour, including footage of fans singing along. It serves as a fitting end to the European leg of the tour, with Swift planning to continue touring in the US and Canada this fall.
