- Rain and thunderstorm - Firefighters are on the move in Saxony-Anhalt
Saxony-Anhalt experienced numerous fire department deployments due to rain and thunderstorms. According to police, trees fell in Bitterfeld. A tree fell onto a car, injuring one person. In Radis (Wittenberg district), the federal road B100 was flooded. In the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district, the B246 had to be closed due to fallen trees.
The damages were mostly quickly repaired, it was reported. The German Weather Service had warned for some areas in Saxony-Anhalt of heavy thunderstorms.
Despite the repairs, several areas in Saxony-Anhalt are still vulnerable to potential damage. Other parts of the state, untouched by the initial incidents, may face similar challenges due to the ongoing weather conditions.
