Alicia Silverstone's curiosity could lead to potential hazards. The renowned American actress is currently in England and comes across an unfamiliar plant on the street. She steps in without checking first if the berries were harmful, and directly goes ahead to taste one on camera.

Silverstone's "you shouldn't eat that" moment - she takes a bite

She shares her discovery in a TikTok video, saying, "I found something, but I'm not sure what it is. Can you guys help me out?" Holding up a chewed berry, she questions if they could be tomatoes. "Nope," she concludes. Slipping up, she drops the first berry and then takes a chomp of another, voicing her doubts, "I don't think you should eat this... Does anyone know what this is?"

Multiple users in the comments section believe the berries to be from a coral tree, also known as the Jerusalem cherry. Worrying comments start rolling in, "Alicia, that's dangerous!" or "Even my kids know better than that, Alicia." Others show concern for her well-being, asking for updates on her health.

If it turns out to be a coral tree, Silverstone, famously known for her role in "Clueless," may end up dealing with some side effects. According to University Hospital Bonn, consuming just two of these berries can be harmful. Symptoms could involve stomach pain, diarrhea, and gut discomfort accompanied by nausea. The lethal dose remains unspecified.

Alicia Silverstone expresses her curiosity about the unfamiliar plant, mentioning that it has fruit and nuts, as she notices seeds attached to the berries she found. After learning from TikTok users that the berries might be from a coral tree, she expresses regret for her decision, admitting, "I should have known better, this is 'Fruit and nuts' from a potentially harmful tree."
