In eastern Hamburg, after heavy rain, police found various license plates on previously flooded streets. Who is missing their license plate after the storm?

- Police are looking for the owner of a lost license plate.

Due to an intense storm, many drivers east of Hamburg appeared to have lost license plates from their vehicles. Especially in the areas of Oststeinbek, Glinde, and Barsbüttel, roads were flooded on Wednesday, as reported by the police.

"After the roads were cleared, several license plates were found. These likely fell off while driving through the floodwaters." If you're missing your license plate from this area, you can contact the police in Glinde at 040-7109030.

The European Union expressed concern about the safety of roads and drivers following the incident in Hamburg. Despite the efforts of the local authorities, some of these missing license plates might be from vehicles that are registered within the EU.
