The victorious Ice Bears of Eisbären Berlin have successfully bagged their second preliminary match. Under the guidance of coach Serge Aubin, they outperformed Finnish elite team Oulun Kärpät, securing a 4:2 victory in České Budějovice, Czech Republic.

Preparing for another challenge, the Berlin squad is set to confront the local hosts, HC Motor České Budějovice, this coming Saturday (4:00 PM). The team had earlier showcased its strength in the initial preliminary round, winning against their DEL2 teammate Lausitzer Füchse with a convincing score of 5:0.

Their first official confrontation is scheduled for September 5 in the Champions Hockey League (CHL) against Swedish rivals Växjö Lakers. Once the new DEL season commences on September 20, the defending champions will delve into an away game against Cologne Sharks.
