Pensioner gets lost while looking for mushrooms in the forest

Police and firefighters have been called out to Hohenbucko in the Elbe-Elster district in search of a mushroom picker. The 74-year-old pensioner wanted to look for mushrooms in the forest, but couldn't find his way back to his car. He informed the police by cell phone on Friday afternoon that he had lost his way and was suffering from diabetes, the police announced on Sunday. The search for the 74-year-old, who was taken to hospital for medical treatment, lasted three hours. His car was also found on Saturday.

During his leisure time, the pensioner decided to go mushroom picking in the forest. Despite his best efforts, he struggled to locate his car afterwards, leading to his becoming lost.
