Young WNBA star Leonie Fiebich, age 24, delivers her finest game yet in the league, overcoming a rib injury. She outperformed the Sabally sisters' sibling rivalry between Satou and Nyara within just 48 hours. This incredible achievement came during the New York Liberty's 79-71 victory over the Dallas Wings. Fiebich racked up 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Hailing from Landsberg am Lech, Fiebich is in her debut season in North America's top league. Among newcomers, only Caitlin Clark from the Indiana Fever has better stats in various categories.

Over the arena's microphone at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Fiebich expressed her excitement, "It's great to win and enjoy playing at home." Her previous rib injury had acted up during the initial match between the two teams two days ago, limiting her to a mere 12-minute appearance. However, despite needing additional support, she managed nearly 29 minutes of play this time around.

Her contributions to the Liberty's eighth consecutive win were substantial. She showcased top-notch defense and made more successful three-pointers than anyone else, landing a total of four. "We're keen on sharing the ball and involving everyone," Fiebich stated. This was evident in their performance that day.

Back in France, Fiebich teamed up with Nyara Sabally, just like in New York. Unfortunately, the younger Sabally sibling, who played for 18 minutes without scoring but collected 6 rebounds, was also injured, accompanied by a bandaged wrist.

The elder Sabally sister, Satou, saw a decline in her performance from the previous loss two days prior, scoring only 10 points.

After her impressive performance, Fiebich shared her joy over the Barclays Center's microphone, saying, "It's great to win and enjoy playing at home in New York." Despite facing challenges with her rib injury earlier, she managed to play nearly 29 minutes in this game, hailing from her hometown of [Landsberg on the Lech].

Reflecting on her successful outing, Fiebich highlighted the team's strategy, stating, "We're keen on sharing the ball and involving everyone," which proved effective in their 79-71 victory against the Dallas Wings.
