If issues arise with the delivery, the key is not to panic. Many city centers are crowded, especially during Advent weekends. Long queues form between the stalls of the Christmas market.

"Some may think ' It's calmer at home on the couch' and prefer to place an online order. In such cases, the delivery may not go smoothly.

Here's what you can do if there are issues with the delivery

In a situation where the ordered item is not delivered, the purchase contract between the buyer and the seller is breached.

If a person has spent the entire day at home, expecting the delivery, and it hasn't arrived, they should contact the supplier and report that the ordered item hasn't arrived.

If a parcel is lost during transport for any reason, the seller bears the risk. Consumers then have the right to a refund of the money they may have already paid. However, consumers do not have a legal right to demand that the retailer resend the lost item.

Online stores must specify the delivery date of the item. Uncertain delivery times hinder competition. If the item is marked as 'available for immediate delivery,' those who order can expect the item to be delivered promptly.

In cases where nothing happens for several days, consumers can give the seller who has not fulfilled their obligations a reasonable period to compensate for the delivery. This period should be accompanied by a notice that the contract will be terminated after its expiration if the goods are not delivered.

If the retailer does not make the delivery within the grace period, the customer can cancel the purchase contract. Sellers who cannot deliver the order often offer to replace it with another item with similar characteristics.

According to the Consumer Advisory Center, customers are not obligated to agree to this. It is possible to insist that the originally ordered goods be delivered within the specified timeframe.

Anyone who still does not receive anything after this can cancel the purchase contract. Consumers will then not have to pay anything, and any money already transferred will be refunded.

If the delivered item is not as described or fails to meet your expectations, you can report this issue to the seller and request a return or refund. In some cases, the delivery may be delayed or lost during transport, and in these situations, the seller is responsible for addressing the problem.
