Oli.P is celebrating its 10th anniversary

It's the story of a very special love. Oliver Petszokat, also known as Oli.P, and his wife Pauline have been navigating through thick and thin together, even after she had a brain tumor removed four years ago. Now, the couple is celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary.

Time flies, as Oliver Petszokat and his wife Pauline have realized. It's been ten years since they exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Cologne.

"10 years. I can't believe it," they both wrote on their respective Instagram pages, accompanied by some heart and explosion emojis. They posted a black and white photo from their wedding day, where they both smile at the camera.

But the couple isn't just celebrating their tenth anniversary with a simple Instagram post. As they revealed in their stories, they've also set off on a trip to mark the occasion. "Today's quiz: Who's flying to Paris for the Olympics?" Petszokat says into the camera, before his excited wife joins him. "The answer: it's us," he finally reveals.

"Making the best of it"

Oliver Petszokat first gained fame as an actor, including in the RTL hit series "Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten," where he appeared for two years just before the turn of the millennium. Under the stage name Oli.P, he also had success as a singer, including with a cover version of Herbert Grönemeyer's song "Flugzeuge im Bauch." Today, he's also a moderator, podcaster, and entertainer.

Petszokat was first married to actress Tatiani Katrantzi from 1999 to 2009, with whom he had a son. In 2009, he started a relationship with former figure skater Pauline Schubert, whom he married on August 7, 2014.

Petszokat's current wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2007. After it grew larger over the years, it had to be surgically removed in March 2020. The couple has navigated through this challenging time together and continues to do so. "The illness will always be a part of our lives. My wife will have to go for regular check-ups for the rest of her life. We'll react to what comes and make the best of it," Petszokat said in an interview.

They decided to commemorate their anniversary with more than just social media posts. The entertainment for their special day includes a trip to Paris during the Olympics.

Despite the ongoing challenges from Pauline's brain tumor, they continue to 'make the best of it' and face each obstacle together.
