Borussia Dortmund has signed Pascal Groß, a German national team player. The club announced that the 33-year-old is moving from English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion to BVB and has signed a contract until the summer of 2026. Groß is reportedly joining the team for their training camp in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland.

According to Sky TV, Dortmund is paying 7.5 million euros plus a possible two million euros in bonuses for Groß. The club has not commented on the transfer fee.

"Pascal has developed into an absolute key player in recent years," said BVB managing director Lars Ricken. "He will make us more stable and flexible, help us with his experience, and have a very positive influence as a leader."

Sporting director Kehl described Groß as a "clever player" who poses a goal threat in many areas. "We are convinced that he will enrich our game and strengthen us with his winning mentality and personality."

For Groß, this is a return to the Bundesliga after seven years in England, where he previously played for FC Ingolstadt. He made his Bundesliga debut in 2009 with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

Groß is the third major signing by Dortmund this summer, following Waldemar Anton and Serhou Guirassy (both from VfB Stuttgart). He will join BVB's midfield alongside his national teammate Emre Can.
