During the UN General Debate in New York, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted that following a year of conflict in Gaza, Israel's military has either eliminated or detained more than half of Hamas's members. Initially, the extremist group boasted around 40,000 members and possessed over 15,000 missiles.
The Israeli military has effectively neutralized over 90 percent of Hamas's missile stockpile and significant portions of their extensive underground tunnel system. According to Netanyahu, this clandestine tunnel system once extended over 560 kilometers, surpassing the size of New York City's subway network.
Israel's commitment remains steadfast towards rescuing the hostages kept in Gaza. The Prime Minister declared, "We won't rest until this objective is achieved."
The Israeli military's actions have resulted in the detainment of more than half of the initial membership of Hamas, reducing their numbers significantly.After eliminating or detaining over half of Hamas's members, Israel now focuses on rescuing the hostages they have in Gaza.
