On the A7 motorway, within four hours, 194 vehicles were caught speeding in a narrowed construction zone. Approximately 6,000 vehicles were measured at the Bordesholm triangle, the police reported. Due to construction, the maximum speed at the measuring point was 80 kilometers per hour.

The top offender was a car with a German license plate. The driver was traveling at 142 km/h instead of the permitted 80 km/h. They face a fine of 960 euros and a one-month driving ban.

Until Sunday, the police in Schleswig-Holstein will be enforcing traffic rules more strictly.

The driver of the top-offending vehicle could have significantly reduced their fine and driving ban if they had utilized the 'The speed control' mechanism appropriately.Implementing 'The speed control' regularly in construction zones could potentially decrease the number of vehicles caught speeding, as seen in this case.
