Motorcyclist seriously injured in overtaking

A motorcyclist was seriously injured when he lost control of his vehicle while attempting to overtake a car on a state road in the municipality of Parthenstein (Leipzig district). The 28-year-old was taken to hospital, as reported by the police. He was trying to overtake a car in a sweeping right-hand bend but lost control and veered off the road to the left. Passing motorists provided first aid until emergency services arrived. The police estimate the total damage to be around 15,000 euros.

The passing motorists immediately administered first aid to the injured motorcyclist before the first responders arrived at the scene. After the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital, the role of the first responders became crucial in managing the situation at the accident site.
