- Motorcycle collides with truck in Geisa - 11-year-old injured
A motorcyclist and his 11-year-old passenger collided with a truck in Geisa. The boy was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries on Saturday afternoon, while the rider sustained minor injuries, as reported by the Bad Salzungen police on Sunday.
The man was the last motorcyclist in a group of about ten bikes on the L1026, according to reports. A truck was driving in front of the motorcycles, intending to turn left. The motorcyclist allegedly overtook the group but failed to notice the turning truck and crashed into its driver's side. Police estimate the damage at 10,000 euros.
In the police report, the rider was said to be part of a group of approximately ten motorcyclists. Despite the incident, other motorcyclists in the group continued their journey.
