Man suffers severe burns in roof truss fire
A 49-year-old man has suffered severe burns in a roof fire in Gauangelloch (Rhine-Neckar district). He was taken to a specialist clinic by rescue helicopter on Saturday afternoon, the police announced in the evening. A 46-year-old woman, a 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were able to get themselves to safety, but inhaled smoke fumes and were taken to hospital as a precaution. The police are investigating the cause of the fire and estimate the damage at around 100,000 euros.
The fire spread to the roof trusses, causing severe burns to a man. The fire department is working diligently to assess and contain the damage estimated at around 100,000 euros.
