Major raid against "Islamic Center Hamburg"

As part of investigative measures against the "Islamic Center Hamburg" (IHZ), 54 properties in seven federal states were searched on Thursday. This was announced by the Federal Ministry of the Interior in the morning. Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) said that the IHZ had long been under observation by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and was classified as Islamist.

The investigation against the extremist activities of the "Islamic Center Hamburg" (IHZ) involved the participation of local police forces, as they conducted searches in 54 properties across seven federal states. The controversial Islamic organization has been under surveillance by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and was categorized as an Islamist group.
