Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott Celebrate Five Years Together
It's been almost exactly a year since Zooey Deschanel (44) and Jonathan Scott (46) got engaged. On August 11, the "New Girl" actress and reality TV star celebrated the fifth anniversary of their first date. Deschanel honored her fiancé with a heartwarming post on her official Instagram profile, sharing several photos with Scott that capture moments from their life together, including visits to restaurants and cafes, and pictures with their children from previous relationships. "Five years ago today, I had the luck to go on a first date with this absolute dream man," Deschanel wrote in the caption. "Here we are now, and he still makes me smile every day."
When's the Wedding?
Just before the premiere of the new season of his TV show "Celebrity IOU," in which Jonathan Scott appears with his twin brother Drew, he told "ET online" about the wedding planning progress. "I don't have any news. I wish I had more exciting news. We just got back from Europe. We had our daughter's birthday party, and then we had another event and a charity event," Scott said, sighing about their busy schedules. However, they plan to start planning soon.
For Scott, it would be his second marriage after his divorce from flight coordinator Kelsy Ully. Before her relationship with Jonathan, Deschanel was married to musician Ben Gibbard (48) from 2009 to 2012 and film producer Jacob Pechenik (52) from 2015 to 2020. She shares her children Elsie (9) and Charlie (7) with Pechenik. Scott and Deschanel met in August 2019 while filming the US show "Carpool Karaoke."
The Stars' Renovators
The eighth season of Scott's show "Celebrity IOU" premieres on August 12 in the US on HGTV, featuring "This Is Us" star Mandy Moore (40). In the show, celebrities thank important people in their lives by renovating their homes. Even Brad Pitt (60) has made an appearance. Scott said he can hardly believe which stars join them each year.
