The victory was Leclerc's seventh career triumph, and it delighted the Italian crowd, providing Scuderia with a home victory. Ozzy Piastri, driving for McLaren, came in second, edging out his teammate Lando Norris.

Beginning from the pole position, Norris worked hard to decrease the gap between him and the championship leader, Max Verstappen. Despite his best efforts, Verstappen, from Red Bull, had to settle for a sixth-place finish.
